For me, science and technology have been lifelong passions, so a career in engineering is a fitting one.
From as early as I can remember, I've been fascinated by the inner workings of objects. I would frequently get a frustrated look from my parents when I'd taken something apart to figure out what makes it function without the slightest inkling of how I would put it back together.
These days, I apply the same enthusiasm and inquisitiveness with some hard-earned knowledge and experience to solve the challenges we face.
My approach to any challenge - whether design, engineering or in life - is to break it down to the fundamental basics, reference my experiences or learn from others, form an idea, iterate the options to reduce the variables, test the concept, make it, break it, but use the experience to further my own understanding and help others not to make the same mistakes.
With experience working for and alongside numerous industry-leading companies across various sectors worldwide, I've developed the ability to form practical ideas and solutions from an objective perspective quickly. My diverse background in technical roles and organisational environments has given me a unique understanding of the importance of investing time and energy early in any process to minimise overall effort while achieving optimised solutions.
